If you’re anything like me then you LOVE a cute picnic! I routinely drag my husband out to parks with sandwiches packed, a blanket ready, and a basket in hand, and we have a sweet date night (or afternoon!) That’s why, when I met Julie, I immediately fell in love with her new business, Alpaca Picnic. We then decided to plan a couples picnic session styled shoot, and combine our love for our work with support for each other’s local small business.
First we set a date, then we crafted a theme, and finally, reached out to others in the community to collaborate! In the end we came up with a fantastic team, which included Cori and Caitlin, the faces behind Charcu in the Lou, a local business that handcrafts charcuterie and desert boards!
We met at Faust Park (in freezing temps!) on January 10th and then got to work! You can truly see the care that Julie puts into each picnic set up! She curates every detail, and puts it all together by hand. Cori and Caitlin have impeccable taste, and they have also mastered the art of designing beautiful (and delicious!) desert boards.
Our brave models didn’t think twice about joining us in the cold, and we had a blast! The day was full of chit chat and laughter. And at the end we all got to enjoy the delicious treats from Charcu in the Lou!
I truly admire how each of these entrepreneurs handle their craft! It has been such a pleasure to get to work with other local small businesses. Julie, thank you for your all of the work you put in, from hauling all of the picnic supplies, to the most minuscule detailed decorations. You helped make our session the most beautiful winter picnic I could imagine! Cori and Caitlin, thank you for donating your delicious desert boards, and for the care you put into designing each of your boards for your clients! Ben and Amanda, you were the cutest and sweetest models, and a true delight to work with! Thank you for putting up with the cold and smiling through it! I loved every second of this shoot, and I hope you all enjoy the images that we created!
