I have been so excited to share Olivia and Blake’s engagement session on the blog! This is one of my favorite sessions to date. While Olivia and I have been friends since college, I first met Blake about year prior to this session. I was visiting Olivia with a couple of friends, and we were going to go to the park and take some photos just for fun. Even though they were early in their relationship, we convinced Blake to tag along. I ended up taking some photos of the two of them, and we got to recreate some of those shots at their engagement session!
Olivia and Blake are the sweetest couple. They seamlessly compliment each other’s personalities, and you can see the genuine joy they feel when they are together! It is the best compliment after a session to have a guy tell you that taking photos wasn’t all that bad, and maybe he even had a little fun. So thank you to Blake for humoring me, and being a great sport all during our session!
My favorite part about this shoot was the very end. We were on a friend’s family farm, and they have a lake. Olivia and Blake wanted to take some photos jumping into the water, and I think we created a “Notebook”-worthy love story (even though it was a lake instead of rain!) I am not sure how they managed to look so cute floating in the water, but they make it look flawless!
Olivia and Blake, thank you for choosing me to take your engagement photos! I am so blessed by your friendship, and I had a great time getting to see you! I can’t wait to celebrate you both throughout your engagement, and on to your wedding!
