How does almost every child celebrate their first birthday? With cake! And it is oh so cute when the little ones dive on in and smash the cake all over. Which is why I am a big fan of birthday cake smash sessions! And let me tell you, little Stella could not have been more precious in her little tulle dress-especially after she dug on into her big girl cake.
We started with some pre-cake family photos, gathering all of mom and dad’s love for their little one into a series of images. And mama Emily brought the cutest balloons to add to the occasion. Finally we ended in a field with Stella enjoying a delicious birthday cake, and she was free to make as big of a mess as she wanted!
Emily and Eric, thank you for choosing me to capture this milestone in your daughter’s life! Your family is just the cutest, and I don’t know if I will ever get over how adorable these images turned out! I hope that some day Stella can look back at these photos and smile. She will know how loved she has always been, and how much fun she had eating her first birthday cake! Happy first birthday Stella!
