What makes a family special? The bonds that the individuals have with each other! Extended family sessions are extra special, because of all the generations the photos represent! There are so many more people with which you have unique relationships For this session we had 4 individual family units coming together to memorialize their love and shared bond. I love all of the variety that we can get in a session like this, and families often like these sessions because they aren’t in front of the camera the whole time and can just hang out! The Mueller family made sure they would enjoy their time together, and as an added bonus, they knew how to keep their kiddos happy: snacks and drinks! I love that they saw this as an opportunity to spend time together, and brought a cooler and snacks to their extended family session into a real event!
One of my favorite shots to get in an extended family session is the grandparents with all of their grandkids. Grandparents and grandkids have such a unique relationship, and I think it is so important to document these milestones for everyone to look back on! Young kids will love to see these memories when they are older, and grandparents know all of the important moments go by so fast!
Mueller family, thank you for spending the evening with me, and letting me capture your beautiful family! I loved getting to see all of the goofy moments with both the kids and the adults. I hope you can take these images and fondly look back on them in the years to come!
