A Personal Take on Maternity Photos

Today I am sharing my own maternity photos on the blog! Pregnancy has definitely been a challenging season. There are so many changes, some that I expected and some that I didn’t expect. While I was taking these photos, I gained an important perspective on how personal and special these moments are.

Being in front of the camera has always been a more vulnerable place for me. I am content to live out my days on the back side of the camera, hyping up my clients! It is easy for me to see the beauty in others, but sometimes it is hard to feel that way about myself.

While pregnancy hasn’t always been easy, it is beautiful. I am constantly reminded of how intricate and intentional God was when He created us. And every time I feel the little guy move I am more and more excited to hold him!

Like a lot of first time moms, I have probably spent way too many hours obsessing over the details in the nursery, and imaging what it will be like for him to sleep, play, and grow up in there. I feel blessed to have this season of life to grow in and learn from. And while I know the next season will be filled with its own challenges of motherhood, I am eager and ready to take them on.

Being a mother has always been top of my wish list. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered “a mom!”.  So as I walk through the next couple of weeks, waiting to meet my little one, I am full of hope and excitement for all of the firsts and adventures my husband, our son, and I will get to walk through together as a family of 3!
