Meet Gracie, a senior in the class of 2022. When I was contacted for her senior portrait session, I was so excited! Gracie is a senior at a small Illinois high school, working towards a future in med school! We hit it off right away when we met. Gracie is such a bright, spunky girl with a beautiful heart and personality! She was so professional in front of the camera, I never would be able to tell she was having her first individual portrait session!
We started the evening at Lafayette Square, admiring the architecture and history surrounding the park. Then we made our way over to Forest park to finish things out. My absolute favorite spots in Forest Park for portraits are the Grand Basin and the Jewel Box. I think it is the wide open space and water of the grand basin that make for some stunning photos, and the jewel box just seems to shine during golden hour (but not enough to outshine Gracie!)
My favorite part of this session was how down to earth, and up for anything Gracie was! She went along with every single prompt I gave her, no matter how silly she may have felt. Gracie, thank you for being such a pro to work with! Your family was a joy as well, and they made a great cheering squad to ensure those genuine smiles! Your pre-planning and outfit preparation made me so envious of your closet-and I am obsessed with all of the matching jewelry you found! I hope that these images kick off a fabulous start to your senior year-you have great things ahead of you, and I can’t wait to see where all you go! I look forward to working with you again very soon!
